Another trip, another set of pictures! This time it was to Washington, D.C., for Michelle's friend Jessica's wedding to her girlfriend Holly. The ceremony was held at the Jewish Community Center, and the reception was held at the Human Rights Campaign building on Scott Circle, a few blocks north of the White House. We had a little time to sight-see, but most of the weekend was wedding. Anyway, you can see all the pictures on my flickr page.

Survived my first half marathon in New York! Completed the Nike New York City Half Marathon in 2:21:32, which is a little slower than I would have liked. The results page listed my pace per mile as 10:12, but math says 10:49, so I'm not sure which is right -- it's possible that time listed on the results page was from the start of the race, rather than when I crossed the starting line. I guess I'll get official results later.

Tired now. Have to go eat.

Two goals achieved today. I finished all my sewing projects and I officially weighed less than 200 pounds for the first time since sometime in college. Two small cheats on each of these: I skipped a button on my camp shirt, which I may go back and do if I get motivated, and also I weighed myself *after* a seven mile run while feeling fairly dehydrated, so I'm pretty certain that as soon as I gain my water weight back, I'll be back above 200.

Most of you probably already know that I'm going to move to New York to be with my girlfriend, Michelle. I leave at the end of this week to go find an apartment, and then will return to store and ship and sublet. I've still got a ways to go on that, but since I'm coming back it's not so essential that I get everything packed right away. Before I go I still have two more massage classes and a final exam to take, but those classes are fun, so it doesn't seem like such a chore. I don't think I'll have time to get my actual certification here before I go, which is just as well, since it doesn't apply in New York (if I want a license there, I have to take 1000 hours of training, ten times more than I have to take in San Francisco!).
